We're the world's first community-powered platform for chronic skin conditions. Our mission is simple: harness collective wisdom to find solutions that actually work.
We're building the world's largest collection of personal stories, self-experiments and scientific research into skin health.
Learn how real people mastered their chronic skin conditions—and all the stuff they wasted money on.
Because if you're struggling with your skin, you don't need to suffer alone. Been brushed off by doctors? Us too. Tired of being your own detective? We know that feeling.
Everyone's skin is different. That's why we're getting everyone together to share what really worked for them. The wisdom of the crowd is what we call Crowd Sorcery.
Fairy tales have simple beginnings. While we build the platform for everyone to share and discover what works for their skin, we couldn't wait to start sharing practical guides and personal stories from people who've been where you are right now.
So, you can already read personal tales of skincare battles—and the science behind them—on the Crowd Sorcery blog.
Curious how this journey began? Read on for the whole story.
The idea for Crowd Sorcery began in my bathroom mirror, where I—like so many of us—spent countless hours analyzing, treating, and worrying about my skin.
I'm Bianca 👋, and my journey with chronic skin conditions has been a long one. Hope and disappointment. Small victories and crushing setbacks. For years, I battled persistent acne that defied every dermatologist's prescription and beauty editor's holy grail recommendation. Then came alopecia, bringing with it not just hair loss, but a profound sense of losing part of my identity.
You might know that feeling. The sinking sensation when another expensive treatment fails. The hesitation before social invitations during a flare-up. The late-night searches through forums, looking for someone who's actually overcome what you're going through.
A third of people will deal with a chronic skin condition in their lifetime. It's time we rallied together to feel less alone and share more answers.
Each time I faced a dermatologist, I carried equal parts hope and skepticism. They would glance at my skin for mere seconds, prescribe another round of antibiotics or topicals, and send me on my way with a substantial bill. When I sought help for my alopecia, I encountered either clinical detachment or false promises—neither of which addressed the emotional weight I was dealing with.
I've spent thousands on products, treatments, and appointments. I created elaborate spreadsheets tracking ingredients, results, side effects. I became my own researcher, detective, and advocate—because I had to be.
And in those late-night research sessions, I noticed something. The most valuable insights weren't coming from medical journals or beauty magazines. They were hidden in comment sections, buried in Reddit threads, and exchanged in WhatsApp groups. Real people sharing what actually worked for them, without sponsorship or agenda.
But how could I know what to trust? What might work for my specific combination of symptoms, triggers, and history?
That's when the concept of Crowd Sorcery began to take shape. What if we could transform all those scattered experiences into validated solutions?
What if we could build something that combined the authenticity of peer support with the reliability of verified results?
Not another clinical database that ignores the human experience. Not another beauty blog pushing sponsored content. Something different—a place where the crowd's wisdom becomes something more powerful than any individual solution.
Because when it comes to chronic skin conditions, there is no single magic bullet. What works is as unique as our own skin. But patterns emerge when enough people share their journeys honestly. Solutions reveal themselves through collective experience. That's the magic of the crowd.
Crowd Sorcery was built on a simple premise: the real experts on chronic skin conditions are those who live with them every day.
We're turning real-life experiences into collective wisdom by creating a platform where people can:
No gatekeeping. No sponsored solutions rising to the top. Just honest sharing of what works, validated by those who understand your struggle because they've lived it too.
Living with visible skin conditions isn't just a physical experience – it's an emotional one. The impact on mental health, relationships, and self-image can be profound. That's why Crowd Sorcery isn't just about finding treatments that clear skin or regrow hair. It's about reclaiming confidence. Finding community. Turning isolation into connection.
When I was at my lowest points with both acne and alopecia, what I needed most wasn't just another product recommendation—it was understanding. Reassurance that I wasn't alone. Evidence that healing was possible. This is what we're building: a resource for both the physical and emotional journey of skin health.
Crowd Sorcery is in its earliest days—still growing, still learning, still evolving—just like our understanding of skin health itself. We invite you to be part of this journey, whether you're searching for solutions or have wisdom to share from your own experience.
Because your story matters. Your trials and errors, your discoveries and breakthroughs—they're valuable beyond measure to someone walking the path you've already traveled.
Together, we're building the world's most trusted resource for skin health.
No gatekeeping. Just the magic of the crowd. Because the best answers come from those who've been there.
Welcome to Crowd Sorcery.
